The Best Thing To Do In Dorset

Well, we would say that, wouldn’t we? It’s a bold claim, we know, but honestly when it comes to fun and active days out in Dorset, we think our little adventure park takes some beating. In our latest blog, we’ll outline why.

Let’s face it; when it comes to outdoor fun and adventures in our part of the world, you’re positively spoiled for choice. We have the lovely sandy beaches of Swanage and Sandbanks close by. There’s the opportunity to combine culture and active pursuits in the same day with the likes of Corfe Castle a mere stone’s throw from the park. You can enjoy spectacular cliff top walks along the South West Coast Path, with some of the finest views and bluest skies to be found anywhere. You can enjoy, climbing, coasteering, paddleboarding and kayaking in and around our fabulous coastline, taking in dramatic sea caves and hidden inlets and wide, expansive bays, all in one trip.

You can cycle the undulating lanes and steep hills of the Isle of Purbeck, explore the path less travelled by mountain bike via the expansive network of bridleways. So far, so great, but what do all these wonderful outdoor adventures have to do with our claim that Dorset Adventure Park is one of the best things to do in Dorset? Well, notice we said ‘one of the best things to do’. The wonderful thing about Dorset is that it offers so many opportunities for outdoor fun, that you need to spend a few days here to appreciate everything that’s on offer. We think we can hold our own with the best of them, and we have one or two unique things going for us.

Perhaps most importantly of all: we’re not weather-dependent. Uniquely amongst outdoor activities, we’re not reliant upon the sun shining in order for you to have a great time. Given the unpredictability of the British weather, that can only be a good thing. Indeed, a drop of rain (or even a torrential downpour) only enhances the fun you’ll have. You’re at a waterpark or mud trail after all. You’re going to get wet and muddy, so what difference does it make if you get a little wetter or muddier?

Looking for school holiday activities for the kids? We run a full programme of active adventures throughout the school holidays perfect for keeping the little (and not-so-little) ones entertained and happy. Even on those days when the weather isn’t looking too favourable and the kids have cabin fever, we offer a great active alternative to the cinema or indoor play centre.

Dorset adventure Park is perfect for weekend adventures. Or midweek school holiday adventures. Half term activities, summer holiday activities, Easter weekend activities.
